A farm wouldn't be a farm without animals, and animal lovers will not be disappointed by the vast array of wildlife roaming free around the complex.

The Meerkat Family . . .

Our meerkats originally came from N/a'an ku se's wildlife sanctuary. Due to conflicts with other meerkats they needed a new home. Guests always enjoy watching the family rummaging around the farm looking for food or basking in front of the fire on cold mornings!

Bokkie . . .

Bokkie the Sprinbok was rescued by Simone when she was found abandoned when only months old.

She now spends her time walking around the Farm greeting guests.

Max . . .

Max the Oryx was also rescued by Simone when he was young. He has had his horns removed for people's safety.

He is very friendly and often approaches people hoping to get his chin scratched.

Sammy . . .

Sammy is an African Grey parrot and can be found at reception. The first voice guests often hear as they arrive is Sammy saying 'Hello'.  Sammy is hugely amusing with his vast vocabulary and when guests go to bed they will often here Sammy say 'lekker slaap' which is Afrikaans for 'sleep well'.

Jackie . . .

This little bundle of cuteness has perfected the sad puppy look and can often be seen going from guest to guest begging for food.

But don't give in to this practised display as he is on a diet!

Butch . . .

Butch is a misleading name as this is one of the friendliest dogs you will ever meet.  Butch loves being stroked and will gently nudge people with his nose if they stop giving him attention. He also loves going for drives and is often found sitting in the game viewer hoping to be taken along.

Tessa . . .

Tessa is always seen with a happy wide eyed expression and loves attention. If she feels like she is being ignored then she will bark to let people know she is there!

To find Tessa on a hot day a good place to start would be the fire place!

Spike . . .

Ladies and Gentleman, I present to you the Guest Farm's most photographed resident, Spike the Bulldog!  Spike's good looks have ensured guests simply have to get their cameras out, especially when he is on full model mode posing by his favourite spot at the pool!

The farm is also home to peacocks, guinea fowl and two friendly cats. We also have a 'pets corner' with rabbits, chickens, ducks and guinea pigs.
