Cheetah Tracking Safaris
The Solitaire Guest Farm Desert
Ranch is home to the Namib Carnivore Conservation Centre. During their
stay guests will have the chance to
accompany experienced wildlife
biologists as they track wild
cheetahs.
Guests can choose to go on the early
morning drive from 8am to 10am , the
shorter 1-hour drive from 11am
to12pm or the evening drive from 5pm
to sunset.
The safari starts with a 10 minute
presentation about the Namib Carnivore Conservation Centre before guests are
driven to the cats in an open top game
viewer. The biologists then locate the
cheetahs using radio-telemetry. Once
within a 100 metres the guest then
accompany the biologists up to the
cheetahs on foot, providing a fantastic
opportunity for photographs.
